PROFESSIONAL SERIES WITH DIRECTOR SCOTT MAJOR - MAY

Push deeper. Work faster. Think sharper.

Taught by multi-award-winning director and actor Scott Major, this 6-week Scene Study class offers a rare opportunity to experience the pace, pressure, and precision of television directing within the focused, intimate environment of the studio.

Scott brings more than three decades of experience in the Australian entertainment industry. Best known for his work both in front of and behind the camera on Neighbours, Scott directed over 200 episodes of the iconic series, including its 2022 finale. He is also a recipient of the AACTA Award for Best Direction in Drama or Comedy (Neighbours, 2022), and his credits span Heartbreak High, All Saints, Playing for Keeps, and Lie With Me.

His industry insight, passion for storytelling, and no-nonsense approach to acting make this an unmissable training ground for serious actors.

Across six weeks, you'll work on two scenes, with a new partner and new material introduced halfway through the term. This allows you to:

  • Dive deep into your character and emotional truth

  • Receive honest, practical, and detailed feedback from Scott

  • Apply direction quickly and effectively, just as you would on a working set

  • Build your adaptability, responsiveness, and confidence

These courses are always extremely popular - book early to avoid disappointment.

TESTIMONIALS FOR THIS CLASS

  • "I completed 6 weeks of Scott Majors' Professional Series and instantly wanted to keep the momentum going so I signed up for another 6 weeks! —

Scott's passion for the craft is palpable. He's confronting, he'll challenge your motives and reasons, and just when you think you've got it all figured out, he'll guide you to realise that you're only beginning to scratch the surface.

Thank you, Scott, for a unique scene study class that constantly pushes you to dive deeper into the 'why.'" - Zac Taylor

  • "Scott Major expects a lot from us actors and that's fine because it's exactly what the industry expects. I love to be challenged and that's what I got from this course. It will give younger actors a tough skin, if they haven't already grown one. Scott certainly has and not just on his feet. His knowledge, energy and approach to teaching is a true privilege to absorb. Take a bow Howard Fine Acting Studio for selecting Scott as a frontline teacher." - Suzanna Bowen
