Self-Tapes & Auditions with Andy Rappos
In today's ever-evolving world of acting and casting, self-tape auditions have become an essential skill for actors. The ability to deliver a compelling and authentic performance from the comfort of your own home can make all the difference in landing that dream role.
In this comprehensive online course, you will embark on a journey to master the art of self-tape auditions under the guidance of industry expert, Andy Rappos.
Inspired by Andy’s experience as an actor, US Talent Manager and Australian Agent this program draws from in-depth industry knowledge to promote confidence, risk-taking & play in the self-tape space.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The tools and a checklist of what to do when receiving a self tape audition: Including fundamentals, script analysis and preparation and the technical side of taping, camera techniques, audition experience, advanced self taping techniques and the freedom to explore your craft.
During this three-month program participants receive online lessons and assignments (via email).
Each fortnight participants are given a scene to work on and produce a self-tape for (with a deadline).
Within the three-month course you will have completed six self-tapes.
Andy provides extensive and thorough feedback with each submitted self-tape to ensure that your skill, knowledge & confidence is enhanced each time.
Outside of working to a deadline for the self-tape, participants undertake their assignments at their own pace.
CONTACT HOURS AND DATES
There are no assigned contact hours for this class. All self-tapes and assignments are distributed via email, and are completed at your own pace to an assigned deadline.
Participants will receive their first assignment the week beginning Monday 30 October and their last assignment in January.
CLASS FEE
$690 (payable in instalments of $115 every two weeks)
WHAT TO PREPARE
Participants do not need to prepare anything in advance for this class but we do recommend getting your self-tape space set up and ready.
FURTHER INFORMATION
There are three levels to this program: Foundations, Advanced & Expert.
If you have not previously studied with Andy you will be working through the ‘Foundations’ program, no matter your experience in the industry (“back to basics, where greatness begins”).
Once you complete the initial three-month ‘Foundations’ program, you are eligible to participate in the ‘Advanced’ program, and once that is completed you can move on to the ‘Expert’ level*.

Andy Rappos is a professional Agent and Acting coach that works for one of the top Melbourne based agencies; Ian White Management.
Andy provides an innovative and practical approach to coaching, inspired by his past experience working in L.A as a Talent Manager, and studying acting in New York at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic arts, graduating with a degree in Film and TV Acting.
Coupled with his current work as an Agent, Andy has a fresh and competitive/relevant edge as an acting coach and a teacher. Andy specialises in advanced on camera acting and self taping as well as personal branding and industry marketing.
