SKETCH COMEDY WRITING & PERFORMING WITH NATHALIE ANTONIA
Write, Rehearse & Perform In Your Own Comedy Sketches
The Six-Week intensive 'Sketch Writing' programme is specifically designed to help writers/performers find, develop, and polish their comedic skills.
This course offers the opportunity to participate in a challenging, inspiring and deadline-heavy "Writers Room" type training program. Over the six weeks, students will learn to write and perform in funny sketches for TV and Film.
Throughout the course the students will explore different sketch formats, and as a group we will analyse what makes a sketch funny.
The students will then write and perform in their own and other students' sketches, because the only way to get better at writing/performing comedy is to... (you guessed it) write and perform comedy.
By the end of class, students will have an understanding of popular sketch formats and a portfolio of writing.
This is for writers, actors and/or anybody who enjoys comedy. If you lean more towards the writing side of things, you needn't perform, but of course there will be many opportunities to do so.
